Turner School of Construction Management Program Comes to the Bronx
Starting on September 25, 2007 and every Tuesday and Thursday thereafter through November 13, 2007, construction firms, with a minimum of three years in business, are invited to strengthen their businesses through the Turner School of Construction Management Training Program to be held at 149th Street & Bergen Avenue in the heart of the Bronx. Held in partnership with SoBRO and the BOEDC, the Turner School of Construction Management program is an eight-week long workshop series meant to bolster the business knowledge of construction-related companies that have been in operation for at least three years. This program has been uniquely designed to enhance the technical, administrative and managerial skills of small construction firms, in order to make a profit and build a reputation for efficiently managing construction projects. Individuals enrolled in the program gain insights and meaningful tools that help them target their business for quality and growth and develop new, strategic business relationships.
Classes will include Accounting, Obtaining Financing, Bonding & Insurance, Health, Safety and Indoor Air Quality, Energy Efficiency, Blue Print Reading & Zoning, Contract Law and Marketing Concepts & Strategies. Please contact Shelley Olivari at (718) 732-7547 or solivari@sobro.org to sign up.
