SoBRO is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the South Bronx by generating effective economic, housing, educational and career development programs for youth and adults
SoBRO’s 13th Annual Golf & Tennis Classic is around the corner! The all-day event will take place on June 25th at the Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck, New York. The theme of this year’s event is Connecting to the Waterfront: Bringing a 21st Century Vision to Reality. We are celebrating the South Bronx waterfront and its future revitalization – a fundraiser to benefit the life changing programs which SoBRO provides to thousands of individuals and businesses each year.
Proceeds will supplement vital funding for the innovative solutions which SoBRO provides in the areas of housing, economic and community development, youth education, business services, and career / workforce services.
Over ten years ago, SoBRO set in motion the concept of redeveloping the South Bronx waterfront. Since that time we have worked with community members, property owners, and city, state, and federal stakeholders to develop a world class plan which balances a growing need for housing, and the Bronx’s storied and robust industrial sector. This year, we look back and celebrate our successes, and we also look to the future of implementing a 21st century waterfront development plan.
This exciting event integrates additional elements as we seek to provide supporters with a lasting impression and experience. Supporters will be able to enjoy a day of golf and/or tennis, so you might want to get some Tennis Lessons Dallas in before the big day! Lunch, spirits, local beer tastings, card games and a cocktail reception replete with a jazz duo will also be on show, before closing the day with our Champions of Change Dinner.
So come join us as we invite you to Tee Off, Serve up an Ace, and Celebrate while supporting our crucial work. For more information and sponsorship, please contact Andréa Mahee at 718-732-7522, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
